Hello and welcome back to the Manchester United transfer blog on Monday, May 19.
The build-up, and the nerves, have begun as Ruben Amorim's men make their final preparations for the season-defining Europa League final in Bilbao. Tottenham Hotspur stand between United and a place in next season's Champions League which would be huge considering how poor this season has been.
A place in the Champions League next season would allow United to attract a better quality of player. Reports circulating around the club claim that one such target is Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez.
The pantomime villain appeared to bid an emotional farewell to the home fans on Friday night after the victory over Spurs and it is claimed United have put an offer down to the Argentine, along with Barcelona. Elsewhere, the hunt for Rayan Cherki's signature is likely to intensify with the Ligue 1 season now done.
It is thought the winger will be available for £19m in the summer which is considered a bargain after his output for Lyon this year. Meanwhile, the race for a striker will continue to gather pace as clubs across Europe try to add to their attack.
Sporting's Viktor Gyokeres continues to be linked with a move to the Premier League but his final destination of Old Trafford or Arsenal's Emirates Stadium is yet to be decided.
With all this in mind, make sure to stick with the United blog below for all of the updates...
