Leeds United handed green light to complete Manor Solomon transfer after agent update

Manor Solomon’s agent has revealed the winger is eager to play in the Premier League next season. The Israel international has returned to parent club Tottenham Hotspur, having played an instrumental role in Leeds United's title-winning campaign.

Solomon quickly established himself as a big fans favourite during his Elland Road loan spell, producing a string of eye-catching performances on the left flank. He cemented his place in the Whites folklore by scoring a superb solo goal on the final day of the season at Plymouth Argyle to ensure the club pipped Burnley to the title on goal difference. The 25-year-old ended the campaign with 22 goal contributions from 39 Championship outings.

But it remains a mystery where Solomon will be playing his football in the future. It is understood United want to re-sign the player, but French giants Marseille have also expressed an interest in Solomon's signature. There is also a possibility Solomon could be given an opportunity to resurrect his Tottenham career.

However, Shlomi Ben Ezra, Solomon's agent, has ruled out the possibility of the winger moving to France. “[Roberto] De Zerbi sent a message to Manor, but he told him that he could not play for Marseille for political reasons," Ben Ezra was quoted as saying by French magazine Le 10 Sport.

“It’s difficult to play in another league when you’ve had a taste of the Premier League. Manor is having a great time at Leeds, but he’s under contract with Spurs.

“He likes the Premier League, but in football, you never know… It all depends on what Daniel Levy wants to do. Manor likes English football and he’ll prefer the Premier League… But in football, you never know what might happen.”

Spurs take on Manchester United in the Europa League final in Bilbao on Wednesday evening before rounding off their miserable Premier League campaign with a home clash against Brighton and Hove Albion this weekend.
