Frimpong In, Milos Kerkez Talks Progress as Liverpool Start Summer Business
Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen. The Dutch right-back has completed his medical at Anfield over the weekend. And the club are set to announce his €35 million transfer imminently. Frimpong is most likely to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, with the right-back set to leave this summer.
While Frimpong is Arne Slot’s first signing, Reds are also serious about Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez. The 21-year-old left-back has got interest from several clubs, including Real Madrid. But, Slot’s side are reportedly leading the chase.
Talks between Kerkez’s agent and the Reds have gone well so far. In addition, a long-term contract until 2030 is ready. However, Bournemouth are holding firm on their €45-50m asking price. That is the only worry in the move at the moment.
