Milos Kerkez Talks Advance

Liverpool are advancing with a transfer for Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez. Things are positive after the two sides officially opened talks.

Frimpong In, Milos Kerkez Talks Progress as Liverpool Start Summer Business

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen. The Dutch right-back has completed his medical at Anfield over the weekend. And the club are set to announce his €35 million transfer imminently. Frimpong is most likely to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, with the right-back set to leave this summer.

While Frimpong is Arne Slot’s first signing, Reds are also serious about Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez. The 21-year-old left-back has got interest from several clubs, including Real Madrid. But, Slot’s side are reportedly leading the chase.

Talks between Kerkez’s agent and the Reds have gone well so far. In addition, a long-term contract until 2030 is ready. However, Bournemouth are holding firm on their €45-50m asking price. That is the only worry in the move at the moment.

Xavi Simons Eyed After Wirtz Blow, Mamardashvili Move Confirmed

Liverpool’s search for an attacking midfielder has taken a new turn. They have reportedly given up on Florian Wirtz. The Reds are now targeting RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons. He also seems to be open to a move and fits Arne Slot’s system in a creative midfield role.

Meanwhile, Reds are ready to battle Chelsea and Arsenal for Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko too. He has a big €84 million price tag. So, it remains to be seen if the Merseyside club will push ahead given their spending plans elsewhere.

In goal, things are more clear. Valencia’s shot-stopper Giorgi Mamardashvili has bid farewell to the La Liga side. He is confirming his long-expected move to Liverpool this June.

With the wheels now turning quickly, the Reds look set for a major summer overhaul under Slot. Plenty of fresh legs to arrive across all areas of the pitch.
