Nikola Jokic earns more in a day than his entire 2025 playoff bonus

Nikola Jokic's 2025 NBA playoff bonus is estimated to be about $93,700, which is less than two-thirds of what he earns in a single day under his massive supermax contract.

The Denver Nuggets were eliminated in the 2025 NBA Western Conference Semifinals by the Oklahoma City Thunder, after defeating the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round.

So, it's time to calculate how much money the reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic will get from the NBA for this year's playoff run.

For the 2024-25 season, the NBA's playoff prize pool is $34.7 million — up $1 million from last year, per Sportico. Teams earn prize money based on how far they advance in the playoffs, as well as their regular-season standings.

The Nuggets finished the regular season with a 50-32 record, securing the 4th seed in the Western Conference.

They earned $372,000 for their regular-season performance, $466,000 for winning the first-round series against the Clippers, and $568,000 for reaching the semifinals before losing to the Thunder. Altogether, Denver's playoff prize money adds up to $1,406,000.

This prize pool is usually split among the active roster, often based on playing time, contract terms, or internal team agreements.

If the Nuggets divided the $1,406,000 evenly among their 15 active players, each player would receive about $93,733. In reality, though, two-way players or those with limited playoff minutes may get less or nothing at all.

Jokic's salary for the 2024-25 season is $51,415,938, part of the five-year, $276.1 million supermax contract he signed with Denver in July 2022.

The $93,733 playoff bonus represents just 0.18% of his annual salary, and it's roughly two-thirds of what Jokic earns in a single day.

By the end of the 2024-25 season, Jokic's total career NBA earnings will be around $249.5 million, counting his rookie contract (2015-18), a five-year max extension (2018-23), and his current supermax deal.
