Gary Neville has made his final Premier League top-five prediction.

Aston Villa have given themselves a chance to finish in the top-five and qualify for next season’s Champions League with three wins on the spin.

They have claimed nine points out of nine from matches against Fulham, Bournemouth and Tottenham so far this month and Unai Emery’s side are now preparing to face Manchester United at Old Trafford on the final day of the season on Sunday.

Villa are one of five teams battling it out for the final three places in the top-five, behind champions Liverpool and second-placed Arsenal.

They are level on 66 points with third-placed Newcastle and Chelsea, who are in fourth, and one point above sixth-placed Manchester City, who have two matches left to play, and Nottingham Forest, who are in seventh.

Villa could drop to sixth before they face the Red Devils if Manchester City avoid defeat against Bournemouth on Tuesday night.

While Villa face United on Sunday, Newcastle tackle Everton, Chelsea face Forest and Manchester City are away to Fulham.

Speaking on his Sky Sports podcast after Forest’s 2-1 win at West Ham on Sunday, Neville said: “That was a really important win for Nottingham Forest.

“They’re still up against it a little bit and they’ve got a big game coming up next weekend. Obviously Man City still have two games but they’re two difficult games actually.

“Bournemouth are a tasty opposition and then they’ve got Fulham on the final day. City will be flat after losing the cup final. They need to get themselves back up for those games and finish the job off.

“There’s a lot to play for in the next week and a lot of money at stake.

“At the moment I think Man City will just get in there, I think Newcastle will get in there and I think Aston Villa might just sneak in.

“I think Forest might just hamper Chelsea next weekend and Aston Villa should win at Old Trafford, everyone is beating Man United at the minute.”

Neville’s top-five prediction: Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle, Man City, Villa
