'Looks like goodbye': Leon Osman thinks £25m player is going to leave Everton after what he saw …

The Goodison Park finale brought up many questions still left unanswered at Everton going into the summer.

David Moyes knows that although the end of Goodison is sad, now is the perfect time for Everton to rise as a football club once again.

By doing this, sacrifices will have to be made, but he will also have to look into keeping hold of assets.

One of whom is Idrissa Gana Gueye who is a priority in playing at the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium next campaign.

But former Toffees midfielder Leon Osman thinks he’s spotted one player destined to leave the Merseyside club.

Leon Osman thinks Abdoulaye Doucoure will leave Everton

Abdoulaye Doucoure has had his future considered for the entirety of this campaign, and Moyes needs to make a decision.

The consensus is that Moyes is unsure of Doucoure’s future, but the midfielder himself suggests he wants to stay at Everton.

After his efforts for the club he seems to be in the view that a contract should be ready and waiting as Doucoure wants a wage increase rather than a decrease.

Osman saw this and spoke to Premier League Productions after the game, saying: “Looks a bit of a goodbye.

“It certainly could be the last time he plays for them. He looks emotional.”

Doucoure seems to have played his last game for Everton

All the factors behind Doucoure’s exit make perfect sense, and here’s why.

Moyes will know he needs to create a sustainable background at a club that has struggled financially for years, and the ownership will share this concern.

Having a 32-year-old in Doucoure who earns £130,000 a week doesn’t fit into this criteria, and it seems like the Scotsman deflected the question when he was uncertain what happens next with the Mali International.

Adding to this, his performances haven’t been too convincing this campaign, with fans left unimpressed with Doucoure at times.

Osman seems to have hit the nail on the head and with a move to Saudi Arabia waiting for Doucoure, it seems like a goodbye for sure.
