**Trent Alexander-Arnold WILL be a part of Liverpool’s squad to face on Monday evening, according to reliable journalist David Lynch.**
The 26-year-old has made himself unpopular with many Reds supporters recently, due to his decision to leave his boyhood club at the end of the season, seemingly heading off to Real Madrid instead.
Alexander-Arnold was booed when he was introduced in the 2-2 draw at home to Arsenal earlier this month, with plenty inside Anfield making their thoughts known about his choice.
For some, it would make sense to take Liverpool’s vice-captain out of the firing line for the remaining two games of the season against Brighton and Crystal Palace, in order to allow Arne Slot and his players to enjoy their Premier League title triumph.
According to Lynch on [_X_](https://x.com/davidlynchlfc/status/1924443311776903204), though, Alexander-Arnold will be involved for the Reds at the Amex Stadium on Monday evening, with Slot deciding against leaving him out of the squad:
_“Exclusive: Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to be part of the Liverpool squad to face Brighton tonight despite receiving a hostile reception at Anfield last weekend.”_
**Is it the right decision by Slot?**
-------------------------------------
Opinion is sure to be split about whether Alexander-Arnold should be involved against Brighton or not, but Slot has once again been bold in his decision-making, as he was when he chose to bring him on at home to Anfield.
As mentioned, a chunk of Liverpool fans will feel that he shouldn’t face Brighton or Palace, mainly because it is acting as a distraction away from a memorable title triumph.
Others may feel different, however, believing that Alexander-Arnold deserves to play in these final two fixtures, following 20 years at the club from a young boy into an adult.
Either way, it would be a surprise if Conor Bradley didn’t start against the Seagulls on Monday evening, as Slot looks to give him more playing time in anticipation of potentially being more of a regular next season.
The imminent arrival of Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen will provide stiff competition for the Northern Irishman, but the 24-year-old can play as a winger as well, so there is no guarantee that he will be used as a right-back.
