The Milwaukee Bucks do not own a first-round NBA Draft selection until 2031, unless they were to make a trade with someone. Milwaukee has a chance to make a massive blockbuster trade this offseason involving superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
One NBA team that is monitoring the situation closely are the Houston Rockets. Houston finished with a 52-30 record in the Western Conference and the number two seed. The Rockets lost to the Golden State Warriors in seven games in the first round. Houston feels like they need to make a move this offseason to get them to the next level. They also have the 10th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft from the Phoenix Suns. Can the Rockets get a blockbuster trade together this offseason?
Bleacher Report writer Jonathan Wasserman created his latest 2025 NBA Mock Draft after the NBA scouting combine took place in Chicago, Illinois. Wasserman said for a trade idea,
Not only would Milwaukee trade away Antetokounmpo, but they would also be able to get rid of Connaughton as well. Milwaukee would be getting a lot in return for the superstar player. It would be a major surprise if the Rockets traded away Sengun, but in this mock trade he would be a part of the deal.
Sengun is only 22 years old. He played in 76 games last season for Houston. Sengun averaged 19.1 PPG, 10.3 RPG, 4.9 APG, 0.8 BPG, and 1.1 SPG, along with shooting 49.6% from the field. Also, Milwaukee would be able to get a very good player with the 10th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Sheppard, Whitmore, and Landale also have potential. What is also key in this trade is that Houston would not be trading away Amen Thompson or Jabari Smith Jr. A big three of Antetokounmpo, Thompson, and Smith would be interesting to see.
As for Milwaukee, they would be getting a nice haul in return and Houston would have a lot of draft capital and young players that it wouldn’t feel like they are trading away everyone. This would be a good trade for both teams and the Bucks would be able to speed up a potential rebuild.
