Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Takes A Jab At Fans After Dominating Game 7

Just a few days ago, it looked like the Oklahoma City Thunder might lose their series against the Denver Nuggets.

Following a difficult Game 3 loss, Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was caught smiling after his team was taken down 113-104 by the Nuggets.

A lot of people were shocked to see him seemingly happy after such a defeat, but he had the last laugh on Sunday after his team officially eliminated the Nuggets.

According to NBA on ESPN on X, Gilgeous-Alexander had a response for all the people who shook their heads at his post-loss grin.

“They thought I was whyling when I was smiling,” Gilgeous-Alexander said on social media.

This wasn’t an easy series, but the Thunder never lost faith in what they were capable of.

They always thought they had the upper hand and pictured themselves going all the way to the Western Conference Finals.

After their dominant win on Sunday, they are doing just that.

Gilgeous-Alexander was a huge part of his team’s Sunday Game 7 win.

He posted 35 points, three rebounds, and four assists, along with three steals and a block.

His shooting was better than it was earlier in the series, and he shot 12-of-19 from the field and 3-of-4 from the three-point line.

He was looking like a team leader and a true MVP during Game 7.

Speaking of MVP, the league may announce the winner of that coveted prize very soon.

Does that mean Gilgeous-Alexander will soon play his first game in the Western Conference Finals and also be named the league’s Most Valuable Player?

He might have plenty of reasons to smile this week.
