Tottenham Hotspur are unlikely to appoint Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi or former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri as Ange Postecoglou’s successors this summer, journalist Tom Barclay has revealed.
The Lilywhites are expected to part ways with Postecoglou regardless of whether they win the Europa League on Wednesday and are believed to have drawn up a shortlist of potential replacements.
With Premier League coaches Marco Silva and Oliver Glasner still among the options, two Italian strategists are now believed to be out of the race for the potential vacancy in North London in a huge blow for Fabio Paratici.
The former Spurs managing director of football is a particular admirer of both Inzaghi, praised as 'one of the best coaches in Europe', and Allegri but is unlikely to succeed in either pursuit ahead of his ‘imminent’ return to the club.
Simone Inzaghi Set to Stay at Inter
Despite ‘close ties’ with Fabio Paratici

According to Barclay, Inzaghi, who has close ties to Paratici, is set to stay at Inter next season, even though the Italian executive 'pushed' for his arrival earlier this year.
Allegri, who is also ‘tight’ with Paratici, is also not interested in a move to North London as he does not speak English and is believed not to favour a move abroad.
Paratici is expected to return to Spurs next month once his 18-month ban from football ends and will reportedly have an influence on who Tottenham appoint next.
The 52-year-old spent two seasons in North London before his resignation in 2023 and was responsible for appointing ex-Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, with whom he worked at Juventus before.
Tottenham have endured a dismal domestic campaign and are on course for their worst-ever Premier League finish.
The Lilywhites have won just once in their last 11 league matches and are sitting 17th ahead of the final matchday on Sunday.
