Liverpool fans think that the club have dropped a new merchandise release for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The England international is set to join Real Madrid in the summer after he announced he would not be signing a new contract at Anfield. The 26-year-old’s current Reds deal expires at the end of the season, with him snubbing his boyhood club.
Despite winning all there is to win at Liverpool and setting his sights on the biggest club in the world to play alongside the greatest superstars of the modern game, Liverpool fans have been left furious with his decision to seek a new challenge.
Alexander-Arnold has faced waves of abuse on social media, but the animosity reached a worrying new level when he was booed making an appearance as a substitute at Anfield in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last Sunday.
And those upset fans are convinced the club have made a brutal dig at the Liverpudlian with the launch of their latest merchandise. That’s because the face of the new clothing gear is UK TV star Paul Gorton.

Paul, a business manager from Manchester, was an Original Traitor on The Traitors Series 2. He placed 11th after he was banished by his Traitor compatriot Harry Clarke, who won the show.
Seemingly not fussed by his 'snake' and 'traitor' tag Liverpool fans have given him, Alexander-Arnold threw a ‘Summer of 66’ farewell party, in homage to his No.66 shirt number, for his Liverpool team-mates at the club’s training centre ahead of his impending move to Madrid. Over the weekend, he was joined by his team-mates and their families alongside Liverpool staff in a festival-style do.

The party had a barbecue, circus acts and flamethrowers. While a ‘kids’ zone’ featuring crazy golf and cakes was set up. According to The Athletic, Alexander-Arnold personally arranged the party as a token of gratitude to the club, staff and players.
However, he still has two more games to play as a Red, with Liverpool travelling to the south coast on Monday night to face Brighton, who still have an outside chance of European football to chase for next season.
