**Newcastle United have been linked with a move for Manchester City's Jack Grealish for months now, with a loan move having been mooted in the January transfer window.**
The England midfielder hasn't been able to keep a consistent run in the team since his £100 million move from Aston Villa to Man City, and while we're loath to call him a 'flop', he's hardly been a roaring success either.
With Manchester City trailing to Crystal Palace on Sunday, Pep Guardiola turned to his bench to add some impetus, but Jack Grealish remained parked.
For Alan Shearer, this signified the end of his Manchester City career.
Alan Shearer believes it's time for Jack Grealish to call time on his Manchester City career
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast, Shearer said that Jack Grealish's time is up at Manchester City with his co-host and former City man Micah Richards agreeing.
> “His time’s up at Man City. He has to leave.“For \[Guardiola\] to bring on a debutant on, a young boy, and Gundogan on when they’re desperate for a goal rather than Jack Grealish, his time is up.
>
> “He’s done at Man City, he has to leave \[and\] for whatever reason Pep’s done with him. He doesn’t like him. His time’s up.”
Newcastle fans aren't exactly jumping for joy at the Grealish links

Richards agreed, saying that he doesn't feel City have seen the real Jack Grealish.
The 29-year-old is still being linked with a move to Newcastle this summer, whether a permanent move or on loan, but I've yet to speak to a Newcastle fan who is excited by the prospect.
If we were signing Aston Villa's Jack Grealish, we'd all be buzzing, but Manchester City's Grealish just isn't doing it for us, especially now that he's 29 and past his peak.
