A Newcastle United youngster has earned another international call-up, having captained the side in March.
The next international break is upon us, and that means several players will be in contention to play for their countries after a brilliant end to the season.
For some, it will be a new chapter for two players. Carlo Ancelotti is the new head coach of the Brazil national team, meaning Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes will be coached by the legendary manager.
Dan Burn was handed an England debut by Thomas Tuchel in March. He will be in contention for a second England nod when the German names his squad in June. Joining Burn for England could be Newcastle winger Jacob Murphy. The 30-year-old has impressed under Eddie Howe this season and is believed to be in Tuchel’s thinking for a call-up.
With several Newcastle players waiting to see if they will be playing for their countries in June, one wonderkid has already been given the nod to play for his country’s youth setup before a big tournament this summer.

Lewis Miley handed England under-19s call-up
Young midfielder Lewis Miley has been a bit-part player for Newcastle this season as he continues to learn from Howe and the likes of Sandro Tonali.
While appearances have been slim, Miley has shown he has the quality to be a part of Newcastle’s midfield for many years to come. His potential has not only been recognised in Newcastle but also on the national stage.
It was confirmed on Monday morning that Miley has been given another call-up to England’s under-19s. Despite already making his debut for the England under-21s, Miley has been given the nod in the younger side ahead of the under-19 European Championships in Romania this summer.

Miley captained England’s under-19s in a 0-0 draw against Turkey in March, and there is a good chance he will do the same for games against Norway, Germany and the Netherlands next month.
The 19-year-old will also play alongside Sunderland midfielder Chris Rigg and Newcastle transfer target Tyler Dibling.
How Newcastle United feel about Lewis Miley’s future
Earlier in 2025, a surprise development emerged which suggested that Newcastle were willing to sell Miley this summer. However, it has been confirmed that it is far from the case.
Newcastle are very happy with Miley and are keen to keep him at the club for the long term.
Impressing at such a young age, Newcastle staff think they have developed a huge talent in Miley, who will help bring them success in the future.
The midfielder has already made his debut in the Champions League and was even named on the bench during the Carabao Cup final.
With Newcastle putting much more focus on youth development, Miley is one of potentially many young talents to graduate from the academy on Tyneside.
