Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap has reportedly held face-to-face talks with Manchester United executives.
The Red Devils are widely understood to be interested in signing the 22-year-old, who moved to Portman Road last summer for £15m from arch-rivals Manchester City.
The Athletic have claimed that the Blues have allowed Delap to travel up to Manchester to get a 'firsthand sense of what a transfer to Old Trafford would entail'.
The report also adds that he is expected to enter 'meaningful discussions with all suitors before taking time to decide his next move'.
Chelsea and Newcastle United are among many of the other teams linked with a summer move for Delap, who has a £30m relegation release clause.
He has 12 goals and two assists to his name so far this season, but was named as a substitute for yesterday's 2-0 defeat away at Leicester City.
Man United are expecting a busy transfer window, with rumours suggesting that they will trigger Matheus Cunha's £62.5m release clause to sign him from Wolves.
