It was a solid season overall for the Golden State Warriors as they were able to turn their season around and make a run in the playoffs before being eliminated in the second round.
Of course, the Warriors had a disappointing start to the season as they were as low as 11th in the Western Conference standings before they added Jimmy Butler at the trade deadline.
With their new star duo of Butler and Stephen Curry, Golden State was able to climb to seventh in the standings and advance to the playoffs after making it out of the Play-In Tournament.

Golden State then defeated the Houston Rockets in seven games in the first round before losing in five games to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round after Curry went down with an injury in Game 1.
The Warriors now enter the offseason looking to improve their roster around Curry, Butler and Draymond Green and they have emerged as one of the favorites to land a star point guard from the Los Angeles Lakers via trade.
According to Bovada, the Warriors have the second-best odds (+500) to land Austin Reaves from the Lakers in the offseason.
The New York Knicks, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers have been named the favorites (+400) to acquire him while the Milwaukee Bucks have the same odds (+500) as Golden State.
Of course, there have been reports that Los Angeles is unwilling to move on from Reaves unless it is for a star center, which is a position the Warriors are looking to fill as well.

While Golden State does not have a center that could land them Reaves from the Lakers, they do have Jonathan Kuminga, who is a restricted free agent this summer and is expected to be on a new team.
There is no doubt that a backcourt duo of Curry and Reaves along with Butler and Green in the frontcourt would be a dangerous combination but with the Lakers searching for one position in particular, it might be a longshot for Golden State to land him.
