Last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown took another ratings hit due to stiff competition from the NBA Playoffs, falling to its lowest numbers of the year.
According to a report from Programming Insider, Friday’s show drew a 0.36 rating in the key 18–49 demographic and 1,290,000 total viewers. That marks a decline of 12.2% and 11.3%, respectively, from the previous week’s 0.41 demo rating and 1,455,000 viewers.
These figures represent the lowest for SmackDown since the November 15th, 2024 episode, which posted a 0.32 demo rating and 1,234,000 viewers. Once again, the NBA Playoffs led the night, with the Boston Celtics vs. New York Knicks game dominating the ratings at a 1.63 demo and 5,726,000 viewers.
So far in 2025, WWE SmackDown is averaging a 0.456 demo rating and 1,525,000 viewers. That’s a significant drop from the same point in 2024, when the show averaged a 0.664 demo rating and 2,360,000 viewers on FOX.
