Manchester United and Tottenham both have fitness concerns around key players ahead of the Europa League final on Wednesday night.

The Premier League pair come into the showpiece on the back of dreadful domestic form which leaves them 16th and 17th in the table. But it has been a different story for both in Europe and the final in Bilbao offers both sides a chance to end the campaign with a trophy and Champions League football for next season.

United are unbeaten in the Europa League this term but will be without two senior stars for the game.

Lisandro Martinez is a certain absentee having ruptured his ACL in February and although the Argentina international is progressing well in his recovery, he will not be fit until next season.

Joshua Zirkzee is also out having suffered a hamstring injury in the defeat to Newcastle United last month. He is set to miss the final despite personal ambitions of being involved.

United trio Diogo Dalot, Leny Yoro and Matthijs De Ligt are all doubts for the final with all three facing a race against time to be fit.

Spurs are also certain to be without key players. Dejan Kulusevski suffered a knee injury against Crystal Palace and has undergone surgery and will miss the final.

James Maddison has a similar issue and boss Ange Postecoglou confirmed earlier this month that he won't feature again this term although the playmaker is part of the Spurs travelling group for Bilbao but he is not expected to be in the matchday squad.

Lucas Bergvall is also set to miss the showpiece after suffering an ankle injury while Radu Dragusin is a long-term absentee having ruptured his ACL in January.

Mikey Moore and Pape Sarr are both doubts but the pair have travelled to Bilbao.
