Everton are going to be very busy this summer – and attacking reinforcements will certainly be on the agenda.
The Toffees secured their Premier League status for 2025/26 with ease in the end thanks to a brilliant impact from David Moyes.
Moyes succeeded Sean Dyche back in January, and the appointment could not really have worked out much better.
But The Friedkin Group face many decisions going into the summer, and they will work closely with new CEO Angus Kinnear and Moyes to ensure Everton go into their first season at the Hill Dickinson Stadium well prepared.
Everton will likely lose two strikers this summer.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is out of contract and Armando Broja will head back to parent club Chelsea after failing to impress on loan.
Everton are on the lookout for new forwards, with Liam Delap linked – and the club seemingly now have eyes on a player from Serie A.

Everton have struggled in the final third in 2024/25.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Things have improved since Moyes came in, but there is still a feeling that Everton need to be more ruthless and clinical next term.
Only the three clubs that have gone down have scored fewer than the 41 goals Everton have managed in the Premier League this season.
According to Caught Offside, Everton are one of a few clubs interested in Lazio striker Taty Castellanos.
It’s stated West Ham United, Nottingham Forest and Wolves are also in the mix.
Castellanos has enjoyed a very productive season over in Italy, scoring 14 goals and providing eight assists in 39 appearances.
Castellanos, 26, also has international pedigree, having got two caps for Argentina after making his debut last year.
Taty Castellanos style of play
Castellanos would certainly be a very interesting signing for Everton.
Everton are thought to be prioritising a striker this summer, and Castellanos is certainly a player who knows how to score goals.
He often gives himself a great chance to do this because of the runs he makes, which tend to have ‘excellent timing’, as noted by Total Football Analysis.
TFA also said of the player earlier this season: “Castellanos’ style of play developed a lot in terms of movements without the ball, especially in terms of agility and physical strength, which made him more difficult to beat in duels and aerial duels.”
Furthermore, Breaking the Lines made a rather exciting comparison regarding Castellanos earlier this season.
They said: “With the physical presence of Diego Simeone and the attacking prowess of Gabriel Batistuta, Taty Castellanos looks to insert himself as a prolific striker amongst Italian football’s very best.”
If Castellanos really does have attacking prowess like Batistuta – one of the great strikers of his time – Everton surely have to be all over him.
