Crystal Palace and Oliver Glasner will hold talks in the coming weeks to nail down a contract renewal, sources have told Football Insider.

Glasner led the Eagles to their first-ever major trophy on Saturday (17 May) as Palace ran out 1-0 winners against Man City in the FA Cup final.

The Croydon club will play Europa League football next term and sources say the Austrian, 50, “would love” to lead them out in the competition he won with Eintracht Frankfurt.

He has just over one year to run on his Crystal Palace contract and was linked with Tottenham and RB Leipzig prior to his FA Cup success.

However, it is believed there is a willingness from all parties to extend his Selhurst Park stay – with chairman Steve Parish already confirming he wants the Eagles boss to remain in the dugout.

Glasner replaced Roy Hodgson in February 2024 and inspired an immediate turnaround at Palace – finishing 10th in his first taste of English football.

The Eagles are 12th with two Premier League games remaining of this term but have won the club’s first major honour.

Tottenham have watched Glasner closely as they plot to potentially replace Ange Postecoglou in their dugout at the end of this season.

Spurs ready to launch Eze bid

Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (14 May) that Tottenham are ready to launch a bid for Crystal Palace star man Eberechi Eze this summer.

Eze scored the winner in the FA Cup final to write his name in the history books at Selhurst Park.

He has a release clause worth £68million in his Palace contract but Tottenham are planning to open the bidding with a lower offer.
