Ipswich Town have reportedly granted Liam Delap permission to travel for face-to-face talks over a transfer to Manchester United.
It is widely expected that the 22-year-old will leave Portman Road this summer, with interested parties able to secure his services for £30m owing to the relegation clause in his contract.
And according to The Athletic, it is Europa League finalists United that have made the first move to try to sign a striker that has scored 34 per cent of Ipswich's Premier League goals this term.

The report adds that Delap, who rose through the youth ranks at Manchester City, has met with Red Devils executives to discuss the workings of a switch to Old Trafford.
However, it is believed that Delap is in no rush to make a final decision and he intends to meet with all potential suitors before sealing a move away from Suffolk.
The likes of Chelsea, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest are among a batch of clubs that are said to be keen to recruit the England Under-21 international.
Meanwhile, former Man United winger Luke Chadwick recently told Suffolk News that he felt Delap could become the ‘main man’ should he opt to join Ruben Amorim’s side.
Delap came on as a second-half substitute in Ipswich’s 2-0 defeat to Leicester City at the weekend.
