Crystal Palace’s FA Cup win will not make a massive difference to the future of Marc Guehi, sources have told Football Insider.
The centre-back and Palace captain, 24, played his part as Man City fell 1-0 at Wembley to hand the Eagles their first-ever major trophy.
Guehi has just over one year to run on his contract at Selhurst Park and has so far not advanced in negotiations over a renewal.
Oliver Glasner‘s side will now play Europa League football next term and sources say Palace hope that will persuade the England international to stay – but they will find it tough.
Crystal Palace bracing to lose Guehi after FA Cup win
The Croydon club are now bracing to lose their skipper just months after the club’s proudest moment.
Football Insider revealed in March that Newcastle, Tottenham and Chelsea will race Liverpool to land Guehi this summer – while Arsenal have also been linked.

Palace wanted around £75-80million for the defender last summer (2024) when Newcastle were showing the strongest interest.
He has made 44 appearances across all competitions this term – notching three goals and two assists.
Guehi is now a regular England international after breaking into the side in 2022 and was named in Thomas Tuchel’s first squad earlier this year.

Bryan Mbeumo update from Liverpool
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (6 May) that Liverpool have cooled their interest in Brentford star man Bryan Mbeumo.
With Mohamed Salah committed for two more years it is believed Liverpool‘s interest in Mbeumo is waning.
The Reds had lined up a move for the £60million-rated Bees forward, who is still attracting interest from Arsenal and Spurs.
