Wolves target Harvey Elliott drops fresh hint over his future after goal and assist for…

Wolves will be in the market for new attacking players this summer – and Harvey Elliott is a player who is thought to be of interest.

Wolves are set to lose Matheus Cunha in the next window, with the Brazilian closing in on a move to Manchester United.

There is also a good chance Pablo Sarabia will leave Wolves when his contract expires this summer.

That said, Vitor Pereira hinted on Monday that Wolves could yet look to keep Sarabia.

But it’s looking like Wolves will need one or two attacking players in the next window, and Harvey Elliott might be someone the club push for.

Wolves were linked with Elliott last week, and last night, after Liverpool lost to Brighton, the youngster gave an update on his future.

Elliott has struggled to start games on a regular basis for Liverpool this season.

The England youth international has made 27 appearances in total, and started only a handful of times in the Premier League.

As a result of his lack of opportunities, Elliott has been linked with an exit from Liverpool.

Liverpool want north of £40 million for Elliott though, which could prove prohibitive for other clubs.

But last night against Brighton, Elliott impressed by scoring and assisting in a 3-2 defeat and after the game, he spoke about his future.

He said: “You try not to get too carried away with the celebrations, we’ve worked really hard through the season.

“Some lads like myself haven’t played as much through the season and it’s about going out and enjoying it. We want to win and enjoy it. We need to take the positives and take it into the final game next week.

“I think I’ve done it this season. It’s been hard with how much I’ve played. I’ve tried as hard as I could and whatever happens, happens. It’s about what’s best for my career. It’s about reflecting and seeing what I can do. I’m here at the moment and I’m focusing on the final game.”

If Elliott does end up leaving Anfield this summer, it seems it’ll be a decision based on what he needs, not necessarily what he wants.

The player took to Instagram after that interview and uploaded a few pictures from the game.

There were no words in the caption, but Elliott did post a couple of heart gesture emojis. He also made that gesture after scoring.

Appearances – 27

Minutes played – 817

Goals – 5

Assists – 3

Seemingly, he would be content to stay and fight for his place.

But equally, Elliott did say it’s about what’s best for his career, so an exit cannot be ruled out.

But a move to Molineux is another conversation, because the money Liverpool are asking for is a lot, and potentially out of Wolves’ budget just at the moment.
