Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will battle each other for the UEFA Europa League championship at the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao, Spain, on Wednesday.

Lifting that trophy will save a disastrous season for either United, which are in the 16th place domestically after losing 18 of their 37 games, or Hotspur, which are one point behind in 17th.

"Of course, we have to believe," United's coach Ruben Amorim said. "I am really confident. I feel that my players are ready for this game. They know what it means, not just for us but for our fans and for the club. After this season, we are ready to fight for the one thing that can help us remember this season in a different way."

The two clubs have played each other 67 times and United stayed undefeated in 53 of them with 40 wins.

"We are living a season that is really strange because we are doing so well in Europe but, in the Premier League, we struggle," Amorim said. "But we will be prepared for the final. It's a different context and a different game. The most important thing is the change in mentality in my team. They compete and that is the most important thing for me."

However, Hotspur have won all three games against United so far, two in the Premier League and one the EFL Cup. Moreover, United failed to win any of their past eight games.

Of course, Hotspur have not been too much better as they lost five of their previous six games. According to givemesport.com, the club will announce the return of Fabio Paratici as sporting director soon and fire manager Ange Postecoglou regardless of the result of the Europa League final.
