Ruben Amorim is not impressed after Man United INEOS have declined to fund his coaching staff’s travel to the Europa League final, according to their former chief scout.
Mick Brown, who worked at Old Trafford for over a decade during the club’s most successful period and remains very well-connected there, exclusively told Football Insider that the latest controversy is a continuation on their “shambles” ownership.

Brown told Football Insider on 19 February that Man United are suffereing from INEOS’ “total mismanagement” with more controversy set to follow.
All of this is in the wake of controversial cost-cutting measures at Old Trafford which have seen a number of hard-working staff lose their jobs in recent months.

The former scout, who has a wealth of experience working at a number of England’s elite clubs and worked closely with Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford, has labelled the owners’ decisions “bizarre” as he continued to question their motives.
“*The whole thing about Man United at the moment is a shambles,*” he told Football Insider.
“INEOS have come in and they’ve got no idea and no respect for what the club is and what it means.
“The idea for them still is about making money and continuing to supply the Glazers with their cut.
“If they’re supposedly in so much financial trouble that they can’t even pay for the staff to fly to Spain, the Glazers can surely do without the millions they get sent.
“Instead, they’re asking staff to pay out of their own pocket to get to the game where they need to be because you can’t have the game without the coaches and physios.
“It’s absolutely bizarre, and I can’t imagine Ruben Amorim is particularly impressed that he’s had to be the one to step up and pay for their travel.
“Especially in the build-up to a final which is so important for the club.
“For me, it comes under the same bracket as dismissing all of the staff, some of whom have dedicated their lives to the club, under the guise of saving money.
“They show now regard to the ordinary people who have made the club what it is.
“They’re constantly chipping away at what Man United is and has always been and represented.”
