The reports claimed that Klopp has been in talks over taking over at the Stadio Olimpico for some time and that he had given the 'okay' to chairman Dan Friedkin.
But Klopp's agent Mark Kosicke has quickly poured cold water on the suggestion.
Speaking to Qatar-based Winwin Sports, Kosicke said: “Reports on Klopp becoming new AS Roma manager are not true”.
Klopp left Anfield at the end of last season having won the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.

The German referenced concerns that he was "running out of energy" claiming he could not continue with the demands of the job.
“It is that I am, how can I say it, running out of energy," said Klopp when announcing his departure.
"I have no problem now, obviously, I knew it already for longer that I will have to announce it at one point, but I am absolutely fine now.
"I know that I cannot do the job again and again and again and again.
“After the years we had together and after all the time we spent together and after all the things we went through together.
"The respect grew for you, the love grew for you and the least I owe you is the truth. And that is the truth.”

The 57-year-old later took up a role with Red Bull as the group’s Head of Global Soccer.
However, his new venture has not put a stop to the speculation over a return to the dugout, with Real Madrid previously considered a possibility.
"I always want to try to learn new stuff and I felt when I heard about the role that's what I would do," Klopp said when explaining his reasons behind his Red Bull move.
"I no longer have to improve the game in individual places, but I want to make football better all over the world. No longer prepare a new game every week, but work on the bigger picture."
La Stampa claimed that Klopp had reached an agreement to replace legendary boss Claudio Ranieri as manager.
The report states Klopp agreed the deal on May 18 at 10.57pm after Roma’s 3-1 win over AC Milan which secured the Giallorossi European football next season.

It is understood that Klopp would was to take up managerial duties while Ranieri would remain at the club in a consultancy role.
The former Leicester City and Chelsea boss initially came out of retirement to help steer Roma away from the relegation zone.
The 73-year-old's heroics in leading Roma to fifth place with one game to play has not gone unnoticed by the club's supporters.
Roma fans gave Ranieri an emotional send-off before the final home game of the season against Milan.
Ranieri's last dance comes during Sunday's trip to Torino. If his side better Juventus' result at relegation-threatened Venezia, Roma will claim a spot in next season's Champions League.
