Crystal Palace have joined the race to sign Jamie Vardy on a free transfer, sources have told Football Insider.
The Eagles have made contact with the departing Leicester City star’s camp about a summer deal.
Vardy, 38, signed off at Leicester on Sunday (18 May) with a goal in their 2-0 triumph over Ipswich Town.
However, he is planning to continue his playing career and is keen to carry on scoring at the highest level in the Premier League.

Football Insider revealed last month (28 April) that Wolves are also plotting a free transfer swoop for legendary striker Vardy.
The forward, who will not feature in Leicester’s final game of the season, hit 10 goals and notched four assists in 36 appearances across all competitions in the 2024-25 campaign.

Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (20 May) that Crystal Palace and Oliver Glasner will hold talks in the coming weeks to nail down a contract renewal.
He has just over one year to run on his Crystal Palace contract and was linked with Tottenham and RB Leipzig prior to his FA Cup success.
Sources say the Austrian, 50, “would love” to lead them out in the Europa League – a competition he won with Eintracht Frankfurt.
