Leicester City could face a points deduction at the start of the 2025/26 Championship season after being hit with three separate charges by the Premier League.
The Foxes' relegation to the second tier has been confirmed and they will be fighting for promotion with Blackburn Rovers next season.
However, they may start the campaign on negative points after being issued with a fresh set of charges. Leicester and The Premier League have been embroiled in legal wranglings since their promotion last summer over a dispute around the jurisdiction of their ruling.
The Foxes thought they had escaped punishment but now find themselves in hot water again. The Premier League have accused them of breaching The Championship's Profit & Sustainability rules for 2023/24, when they won the title.

There are further cases to answer for failing to submit their accounts to the Premier League by December 31, 2024 and failing to assist the governing body in their investigations.
As a result, Leicester have been referred to an independent panel, who will decide whether they are guilty and if so, what punishment they will receive.
The EFL noted the Premier League statement and will await the final verdict before making any further comment.
Sheffield United were handed a two-point deduction last summer after a default on payment following a cash flow problem during the 2022/23 season.
