KoastasTsimikas was spotted by a group of Everton fans in a Chinese restaurant. The Liverpool left-back has made 18 appearances in the Premier League this season, helping the Reds win their 20th title.

The Greek defender has become somewhat of a cult hero since joining the club in 2020. He scored the winning penalty in the 2022 FA Cup final and provided the assist for Virgil Van Dijk’s winner in the 2024 League Cup final.

Tsimikas, like the rest of the squad, has been afforded some time off after Liverpool were confirmed as champions on April 27. He joined teammates in Dubai on holiday last week.

He started Liverpool’s match last night as they were defeated 3-2 by Brighton. Liverpool took the lead twice thanks to Harvey Elliott and Dominik Szoboszlai but were overpowered by a Brighton team fighting for European football next season.

A few hours before the game, a video was posted on TikTok by @everton.fc4, an Everton fan page showing the left-back paying for his meal at a Chinese restaurant. A group of Everton fans were also there and began chanting Everton anthem Spirit of the Blues at him.

Tsimikas took the jibe in good spirits and laughed. According to several people in the comments section, the Greek defender was visiting the Peacock Inn Chinese Restaurant in Ormskirk, with one claiming he’s “always in there”. It's likely Tsimikas visited last weekend as the Liverpool squad travelled down to Brighton yesterday.

In the comments, several people praised Tsimikas and the Everton fans for keeping the exchange light-hearted. One said: “He took it well to be fair.”

Another said: “Ha! Fair play to him, he took it well.” A third person said: “Fair play from both sides.” A fourth person added: “Banter as it should be.”

There was another insight into the lives of Liverpool players off the pitch last night. Szoboszlai celebrated his goal by sharing some incredible family news as he placed the ball under his shirt. Away from the pitch, he is happily married to Borka Buzsik.

The two tied the knot in March and they are now preparing to become a family of three. The official Liverpool FC account reshared a snap of Szoboszlai's celebration after the game to congratulate the midfielder.

The post said: "Congratulations to Dom and his wife." Borka was the first to comment as she shared a heart emoji. The couple issued a joint post on Instagram to share a series of snaps as Borka showed off her blossoming baby bump.

Szoboszlai said: "Three of us." The player was inundated with messages of support from his teammates as Ryan Gravenberch shared a heart emoji in response.

The post was liked by Luis Diaz, Alisson Becker's wife Natalia, and Alexis Mac Allister's partner Ailén Cova. Szoboszlai isn't the only LFC midfielder to be starting a family while in a red shirt.

Mac Allister also announced earlier this year that Ailen is pregnant with their first child. They shared a short clip of their pregnancy journey as Ailén said: "we wish and love you with all our heart. See you soon little one."

Gravenberch is preparing to become a dad too. Shortly after Liverpool clinched the title, he announced that his girlfriend Cindy Peroti was pregnant with his girlfriend Cindy Peroti.

Gravenberch shared a picture of several polaroid pictures, which showed a baby scan, Cindy with a baby bump and Gravenberch holding up a baby Liverpool top. In the caption, he said: “We have been keeping a secret, we can’t wait to meet you.”

Liverpool will lift the Premier League trophy after the final game of the season against Crystal Palace at Anfield this Sunday (May 25). The parade will take place the following day, running from Allerton Maze to The Strand.
