Manchester City have two games remaining in the Premier League, the first of which takes place tonight against Bournemouth.
Manchester City suffered a setback at the weekend as they lost the FA Cup final to Crystal Palace.
It has been a very tough season, and City now have to ensure that they don’t finish it in the worst possible way.
The battle to secure Champions League football is a fierce one right now; currently, City sit sixth on 65 points, the same as Nottingham Forest, who are seventh.
Aston Villa and Chelsea are fourth and fifth, respectively, on 66 points. Newcastle United are third on 66 as well.
City can take a huge step tonight by beating Bournemouth, but it will not be easy with the Cherries having really impressed this term under Andoni Iraola.

There are other narratives tonight for City fans to digest, with one being the fact that it’s Kevin De Bruyne’s final game at the Etihad Stadium.
Hopefully, he plays well and can either score or assist one final time in front of his adoring fans.
But there’s also potential for the return of a player City have missed astronomically.

According to a report from Spain, Rodri is set to be in Manchester City’s squad to face Bournemouth tonight.
The Ballon d’Or winner has been unavailable for most of the season for City, after sustaining knee ligament damage in a game against Arsenal back in September.
Rodri recently returned to full training at the Etihad Campus, leading some to wonder if we’d see him before the end of the season.
And potentially we might, as tonight he’s set to be in the squad – and that has left fans elated.

@mancity_talk added: “Lovely news. Think a lot of people are forgetting that his return is like a new signing for next season. And not just any new signing, he’s a Ballon d’Or winner. A lot less reason to have meltdowns over the transfer window, especially as it hasn’t even opened yet.”

It is understandable that City fans are so elated by this claim about Rodri.
It’s been a season filled with misery, but the notion of City’s most important player potentially gracing the Etihad turf tonight is fantastic to consider.
That said, some do worry about Rodri potentially returning too early, as City seek victory against Bournemouth.
Pep Guardiola did offer an update on Rodri at the weekend, saying ahead of the FA Cup final with Palace: “He’s much, much better.
“I’m waiting for the doctors. We make a surgery, when they tell me he’s ready, he’s going to start.
“We don’t want to, you know, take a risk and make a setback now in this moment.”
