Fulham handed transfer encouragement – Club seem happy to sell for right place

Fulham are one of the sides interested in Roma full-back Zeki Celik ahead of the summer transfer window.

That’s according to Il Messaggero, relayed by Forza Roma, who report that Roma are open to a sale if they can ensure a ‘good capital gain’ from any deal.

They explain that the Turkish full-back, who has recently been deployed as a third centre-back under Claudio Ranieri, has regained ‘decent value’ thanks to Roma’s upturn in fortune under the veteran coach.

That’s led to interest from Fulham and Besiktas and Roma are more than open to doing a deal if either side move for him. They simply want to ensure they get a good capital gain from any deal, having often put the player on the market without success in recent years.

At this point there is no mention of what figure they’d be looking for, just that they are very much willing to negotiate if Fulham or Besiktas come forwards.

This is not the first time that Fulham have been linked with Celik, in fact he’s been on their radar for a while, and it appears he’s a name to keep an eye on again this summer.
