Liverpool's imminent move for Bayer Leverkusen full-back Jeremie Frimpong is set to fgo through, according to Fabrizio Romano - with the esteemed Italian journalist giving the deal his 'here we go' treatment by stating that the deal is 'confirmed'.
Trent Alexander-Arnold's move to Real Madrid is set to go through at the start of June if Los Blancos can agree a deal to get him in for the Club World Cup, and failing that, he will join up with the Spanish giants upon the expiration of his contract at the end of June. That has seen the Reds swiftly move for Frimpong, with his release clause being activated by Arne Slot after the club had already agreed personal terms with the 12-time Netherlands cap.

The rapid Dutch full-back has completed both the first and second parts of his medical, with formal steps and an announcement over the deal being set to follow. He wrote:
"Jeremie Frimpong will sign his contract at Liverpool in the next 24 hours, deal confirmed.
"Dutch RB has completed first and second part of his medical with formal steps and announcement to follow.
"Here we go, confirmed."
It's a smart move from Liverpool to already get a deal over the line. Wasting no time in replacing their homegrown star, Slot will want any new recruits through the door as soon as possible in order to integrate them into the first-team with no hiccups during pre-season.
Conor Bradley already represents a strong option to come into the fold, but it's clear that Slot wants an all-out-attack-minded star to replace Alexander-Arnold, and Frimpong's numbers over the past few seasons have been admirable, leading to him being called 'lethal' by Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman.
The 24-year-old notched 10 goal contributions in just 34 games in his first full season as a 21-year-old, and those numbers have grown steadily since. Frimpong began with 20 in 2022/23 and an outstanding 26 last season, and although he's only registered 17 this time around, that has given the former Celtic star a record of 74 goal contributions in 190 games for the Bundesliga giants.
He will now look to replicate in the Premier League on his return to England, having left Manchester City in September 2019.
