What Man United and Bruno Fernandes have planned for fans at Europa League final

Manchester United fans will be needed to produce a fiery atmosphere for the Europa League final against Tottenham.

After an incredibly disappointing Premier League campaign, Manchester United have one chance to end the 2024/25 season on a high.

There is pressure on Ruben Amorim to win the Europa League, and the only thing standing in his way is a 90-minute showdown against Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham.

Bruno Fernandes can redeem himself in the final after he was underwhelming in the 2021 defeat. The Red Devils captain recently won United’s Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award, and he will hope to end his strong season with a trophy.

In preparation for the showpiece in Bilbao, Bruno Fernandes and United have hatched a plan for match-going fans.

Man United plan for fans in Europa League final

Throughout the Europa League campaign, United fans have produced some brilliant atmospheres both home and away, with a little help from club-organised tifos.

For the first time in club history, United presented a tifo banner against Lyon in the quarter-finals. Again in the semi-finals, Fernandes approved a second tifo against Athletic Club.

United won’t have home advantage for the final, but the club are still planning something unique for fans.

It has been confirmed by the club that a new surfer banner has been created with an original design for the final.

The banner’s design was approved by club captain Fernandes – just as the tifos were. The remainder of the squad will have to wait until Wednesday evening to see it displayed.

Man United’s experience could shine through in Europa League final

On paper, it is hard to choose a favourite for Wednesday’s final.

United have been the best Europa League team this season and the route to the final has been nothing short of extraordinary.

However, Gary Neville believes Tottenham have a stronger lineup than United with only one Red Devils player able to work his way into Postecoglou’s side.

What United do have though, is experience. Casemiro could be key for United in the final as a five-time Champions League winner.

Even during United’s poor seasons, the Red Devils have often got their hands on silverware. That experience on the biggest stage could help Amorim’s side come out on top in Bilbao.
