Ange Postecoglou has revealed that Tottenham midfielder Lucas Bergvall is not available for Wednesday's Europa League final against Manchester United. The Swedish ace has not featured for Spurs since the 5-1 defeat at Liverpool last month due an an ankle injury.
Postecoglou last week provided an update on the teenager and confirmed that Bergvall wouldn't be available for the Europa League final. However, Spurs fans have been keeping their fingers crossed that the highly-rated star can make a miracle recovery in time for the match at San Mames Stadium.
Bergvall was spotted with the rest of his Tottenham teammates arriving in Bilbao on Monday evening ahead of the final. It would appear that everyone who has played a part in this season's Europa League campaign are present in Spain, though, as long-term absentee Radu Dragusin has travelled and so has James Maddison despite his season-ending injury.
Speaking to the media in Bilbao on Tuesday afternoon to preview the final, Postecoglou provided a fresh update on Bergvall on the eve of the crucial fixture.
He said: "Team news is pretty much the same as last week. No Lucas isn't available. Pretty much the same as we were as of last week."
Postecoglou also went on to state that Pape Matar Sarr "is fine" for the final after coming off in the second half of Tottenham's defeat at Aston Villa on Friday evening after feeling something in his back.
