Sir Jim Ratcliffe has reportedly been impressed by Ruben Amorim’s use of one Manchester United star throughout this season.
Manchester United have had a very poor Premier League campaign this season and there is pressure for Ruben Amorim to improve things significantly next term.
However, there have been some positives to take, such as their progression to the Europa League final and the performances of several players.
Young defenders like Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven have looked very promising, while Amad is also playing his best football under the Portuguese boss.
Bruno Fernandes has also hit another level in terms of form, but it is Casemiro who might be the biggest success story of the season.
Ratcliffe impressed by Amorim’s use of Casemiro
Casemiro’s time at Old Trafford seemed dead and buried under Erik ten Hag and things didn’t look great at the start under Amorim either.
But the 40-year-old has managed to alter the role Casemiro has to do in the midfield and the Brazilian has responded by producing “incredible” performances, particularly in the Europa League.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe had previously been critical of the signing of Casemiro from Real Madrid in 2022 but the British billionaire has been happy with the player’s turnaround under Amorim.
A report from GiveMeSport explains that the United co-owner is ‘impressed’ by Amorim’s use of the 33-year-old this season.
However, it was added that the experienced midfielder is still not guaranteed to stay at the club next season, mostly due to his monstrous wage packet.
Casemiro will be crucial for Europa League final
United and Tottenham Hotspur are quite similar in level, as shown by their Premier League ranking, but it is Amorim’s men who everyone expects to win the Europa League final.
That is not only because of the history of the club, but also the experience within the squad. Casemiro is one player who knows how to win these games.

He will likely be crucial for United in Bilbao, alongside players like Harry Maguire and Fernandes, and right now everyone trusts him to perform in the game.
Whether or not it is a send off, it would be great to see Casemiro lift yet another trophy.
