Leeds United could potentially seal a sensational move for Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy in the upcoming transfer window.
The 38-year-old will leave the Foxes at the end of the season after winning the Premier League title and FA Cup during his 13-year stint at the King Power Stadium.
With the Whites winning promotion to the Premier League, Vardy has been suggested as an option at Elland Road to strengthen the attack.
Daniel Farke has relied on Joel Piroe this season to fire the West Yorkshire outfit to the Championship title, but they may need more quality up front to survive relegation from the top flight.

Vardy can seal Leeds United transfer after overcoming Sheffield Wednesday fan status
Vardy may be able to seal a move to the Whites if he overcomes his fan status for Sheffield Wednesday, Rory Smith says.

The Athletic journalist believes the 38-year-old’s experience and goalscoring abilities make him a sensible transfer at Elland Road next summer.

Vardy’s Premier League record this season.
Smith feels the West Yorkshire outfit lack a focal point in their attack, something the ex-England international could arguably provide for Farke.
Speaking on Monday Night Football (19 May), the journalist said: “I think he makes a lot of sense for Leeds if he can overcome his inherent Sheffield Wednesday fan status. The experience, the fact that there aren’t many proven goal scorers who are available.
“Leeds have got plenty of goals in the team, but they don’t have a focal point. There are questions about whether Piroe can make the step up.”
Piroe can’t be expected to replicate Elland Road heroicsin Premier League
Piroe won the Championship Golden Boot this season after scoring 19 times in the league, but it will be interesting to see how he does in the top flight.
Farke gave Mateo Joseph opportunities at the start of the season, but the Spanish forward was unable to convince many about his qualities.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see the 21-year-old leave Elland Road in the upcoming transfer window for regular game time elsewhere.
Leeds must look to add more depth in every department of their squad, and a new number nine should be on their agenda.
Patrick Bamford’s prospects at the Whites don’t look encouraging after falling down the pecking order, making a replacement for him arguably necessary.
Paraag Marathe will undoubtedly have to spend heavily at the West Yorkshire outfit next summer to build a team capable of surviving the rigours of the Premier League.
Vardy has shown at Leicester this season that he’s still capable of contributing at the highest level of the game, and his future will be one to watch.
