Manchester United have spent two weeks trying to convince Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha to join, Fabrizio Romano has revealed.
The Red Devils reportedly took their time presenting the project to the Brazilian attacker, discussing his role in Ruben Amorim’s first-team squad and outlining their vision for the future.
Cunha has given the green light to a move to Old Trafford this summer and is willing to join even without European football guaranteed next season.
The 25-year-old forward is open to the move regardless of the Europa League final outcome on Wednesday, where Man United could secure Champions League qualification by beating Tottenham Hotspur.

Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, revealed that Cunha is drawn to the opportunity to work under Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford and already has a strong connection with the Portuguese coach:
“The player said yes to Manchester United. After spending two weeks presenting the project, discussing the view for next season and for the future, Cunha said yes to Man United.
“And he did that before knowing what happens with Champions League football.
“So before the Europa League final against Tottenham, Champions League or not for Man United, it doesn't make any difference to Matheus Cunha, who said yes to the Red Devils.
“He wants to play for Man United. He's attracted by the project. He's attracted by the history of the club. He's attracted by the future at Manchester United, also by the coach Ruben Amorim.
“They both speak Portuguese. The connection is very good. So Matheus Cunha wants to go to Man United.”
Cunha, praised as ‘world-class’, is now on course to become United’s first summer arrival, with the club expected to pay his £62.5m release clause in instalments.
The Red Devils appear to have moved ahead of their Premier League rivals in the race for the Brazil international, who was also heavily linked with Arsenal earlier this season.
Cunha has enjoyed another strong campaign with Wolves, scoring 17 goals and providing six assists in 34 appearances across all competitions.
The 25-year-old has scored two goals and registered two assists in his last five league appearances under Vitor Pereira.
