Nottingham Forest are keen to beat a host of Premier League rivals to the acquisition of Dusan Vlahovic after the Juventus star has been pinpointed as a potential recruit by boss Nuno Espirito Santo and influential figures behind the scenes at the City Ground, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.
The Tricky Trees showed plenty of ambition during the summer transfer window less than 12 months ago, with Elliot Anderson being their most expensive arrival thanks to completing a £35million switch from Newcastle United, and it has paid off as they have ensured that they will be competing in a European competition next season.
Nikola Milenkovic was also among the names to head to the Midlands, sealing a £12million move after an agreement was reached with Fiorentina, and Nottingham Forest are looking to land Serbia international teammate Vlahovic as they aim to secure additional firepower in preparation for the 2025/26 campaign.

Nottingham Forest want to sign Vlahovic, according to GMS sources, and the ongoing ambition shown by key personnel behind the scenes has resulted in there being a willingness to splash the cash on a new prolific marksman when the transfer window reopens for business in the coming weeks.
The striker has edged closer to entering the final year of a contract which allows him to pocket in excess of £315,000-per-week, resulting in the Tricky Trees and other suitors sniffing an opportunity to pounce as it has been acknowledged that Juventus will not want to run the risk of him walking away as a free agent at the end of next term.
GMS sources have been informed that Nottingham Forest are being targeted as a potential landing spot amid lingering uncertainty over the future of Vlahovic, who has enjoyed a productive season in the final third of the pitch, and they are increasingly likely to bring in fresh competition for first-choice frontman Chris Wood.
Dusan Vlahovic's statistics for Juventus this season
The 25-year-old has been described as 'world-class' by Vincenzo Italiano, the head coach of Juventus' Serie A counterparts Bologna, and the Premier League has become a viable destination as he prepares to embark on a fresh challenge away from the Allianz Stadium ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Vlahovic will be sold after failing to agree a new contract in his current surroundings ahead of the summer transfer window, GMS sources have learned, and it is expected that he will have to accept a pay cut in order to facilitate a switch to Nottingham Forest or another of his admirers.

GMS sources have been told that Vlahovic's contract situation has resulted in Nottingham Forest having the possibility of being able to recruit him for less than £30million, but they are facing stiff competition as domestic counterparts Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Newcastle United and Chelsea have already been offered his services.
Although the former Partizan Belgrade marksman headed to Turin in a deal worth £66.6million in January 2022, when he also had the option of heading to the Premier League, his current employers have acknowledged that they will have to accept an offer worth considerably less than the amount they forked out for him.
Nottingham Forest are on the list of potential options for Vlahovic as he assesses which direction he wants to take his career in, GMS sources understand, and it is thought that they have an initial interest in meeting the terms he is looking for as they aim to upgrade their squad after a memorable campaign.
