Manchester United centre-back Matthijs de Ligt has travelled to Bilbao ahead of Wednesday night's Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur.
The defender was not included in the 26-man travelling squad that United revealed for the final earlier today after picking up an injury earier this month.
The Netherlands international, who joined United from Bayern Munich last summer, was not part of the main group that trained at Carrington in front of the media on Tuesday morning, instead working on an individual training programme.
De Ligt has missed United's last three games after being forced off in the first half of United's 4-3 defeat to Brentford on May 4. Head coach Ruben Amorim said last week that he was in a race against time to be fit for the clash with Spurs.
United have, of course, been boosted by the returns of fellow defenders Diogo Dalot and Leny Yoro, both of whom have been included in the 26-man squad. Dalot has been absent for more than a month and Yoro missed the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea last Friday night after being forced off in the 2-0 reverse to West Ham United a few days earlier.
De Ligt arrived at the San Mames Stadium alongside his teammates a short time ago.
Amorim is scheduled to speak to the media at 6.30pm BST this evening.
