Liverpool will have to sell one of their current forward options before considering a deal for Rayan Cherki, sources have told Football Insider.
Cherki, 21, and Lyon have confirmed the star winger will depart for pastures new this summer.
The Reds are keen on the Frenchman but would have to sell one of their existing forwards before launching a concrete move.
Football Insider revealed last month (14 April) that Liverpool could consider a mega-money offer for winger Luis Diaz this summer as Saudi Pro League interest resurfaces.

Federico Chiesa’s future is also in doubt after his limited game time for Arne Slot’s side this term.
Meanwhile, Darwin Nunez looks certain to leave Liverpool amid growing interest in his services – but the centre-forward’s future will have little impact on any pursuit of Cherki.
