Manchester United are all set to be fined by the Premier League thanks to poor discipline, only adding to the club’s already tightening financial pressures.
The Red Devils are all set to record another loss for the third-quarter of this financial year, with Wall Street analysts expecting a reporting of the club losing £40 million between October and December 2024.
As such, a win in the upcoming Europa League final is essential to unlock the extra £100 million of revenue that would come with next season’s Champions League qualification.
However, before United even step foot on the pitch in Bilbao, the club are having to answer to their discipline issues in their last game at Stamford Bridge.

Last weekend, Manchester United travelled to London to face Chelsea in their penultimate Premier League match of the season.
Unfortunately for United and their ownership, the club not only lost 1-0, but also wracked up a £25,000 fine for their on-field display.
The game saw yellow cards handed to Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, Noussair Mazraoui, Amad Diallo, Manuel Ugarte and Ayden Heaven.
Unfortunately for Sir Jim Ratcliffe, The Daily Mail has reported that Premier League rules state that if a team receives six or more yellow cards in a single match, they’ll face a £25,000 fine.
Whilst this is a drop in the ocean compared to the significant financial issues being faced by the club, the fact that two bookings came in extra time to Ugarte and Heaven will be even more frustrating for the United hierarchy.
