Bill Walton amassed quite the collection of unique of memorabilia from both his personal life and time in the NBA. And now fans have the opportunity to take home a piece of the late legend’s life.
Walton, who died in May 2024 at 71 after a battle with cancer, will have 600 items auctioned off by his estate. The list, which shouldn’t come as a surprise, is quite eclectic.
One of the notable items is Walton’s California driver’s license that expired in 1999. His passport form 1970 is also up for auction.
Walton was a big fan of the Grateful Dead, and there is a drumhead autographed by Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Phil Lesh — among others — among the items up for auction.
Other items include: a collection of VIP passes from Grateful Dead concerts, his 1985-86 NBA Sixth Man Award, Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame ring, 1977 Portland Trail Blazers championship ring, UCLA varsity basketball captain letterman’s jacket, a letter on Michael Jordan and much more.
