Giannis Antetokounmpo to Warriors rumors

Jimmy Butler was also at the same Google event last year and interestingly, he was traded to the Warriors mid-season.

Antetokounmpo’s case is different though. Butler was never linked to the Warriors in the offseason last year. On the other hand, the Greek Freak’s case is a hypothetical scenario made by pundits and insiders.

According to Brian Windhorst, it is a possible scenario for the Warriors although he admitted that he does not know whether Antetokounmpo wants out of the Bucks or not.

The Warriors will need to unload a considerable package to Antetokounmpo but general manager Mike Dunleavy, who has a history with Giannis, doesn’t want to go that direction when it comes to Butler.

“We made a big jump adding Jimmy Butler,” Dunleavy said.

“This time last year I was probably concerned about our ability to have like a No. 2 guy. We went out this year, and we got that.” “Now I feel better going into next season having a guy like Jimmy on our roster. We’ll build around that with him, Steph, Draymond, some of the other players we have.”
