De Ligt, Yoro, Dalot - Manchester United confirmed injury news and return dates for Europa League final

Man Utd face Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final and here is the confirmed team news and injury latest.

Manchester United are set to welcome back three injured players when they face Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final tonight. It could be a special night for Ruben Amorim if he wins his first trophy with the club, though he is well aware there is a lot of work to do even if they are victorious in Bilbao.

United were handed a huge triple injury boost ahead of the match when they trained at Carrington yesterday. They have had to deal with plenty of injury setbacks all season but could be without just two players against Spurs at the San Mames Stadium.

It remains to be seen whether any of the injured stars will be fit enough to start against Tottenham, though they are all expected to be named on the bench at the very least. Amorim could have almost a full fit squad to choose from and here is all the latest injury news ahead of the final.

Manchester United injury news vs Tottenham

Leny Yoro - 21 May vs Tottenham (N)

Yoro is in the United squad for the Europa League final and is in contention to start the match. The French defender went off with an injury in the recent 2-0 home defeat to West Ham United earlier in the month. It still seems most likely he will begin on the bench due to a lack of recent match fitness.

Jonny Evans - 21 May vs Tottenham (N)

Evans is also part of the travelling party to Bilbao after he missed the defeat to Chelsea on Friday night. He will not be rushed back to action when he is unlikely to feature in the match, though he would love to be part of the squad given he is set to leave as a free agent at the end of the season.

Diogo Dalot - 21 May vs Tottenham (N)

Dalot returned to training this week and would appear the most likely of the injured stars to return to the starting line up against Tottenham. The Portuguese full-back has not featured since the 1-0 defeat to Wolves on Easter Sunday. He has impressed due to his availability throughout the campaign.

Joshua Zirkzee - 21 May vs Tottenham (N)

Zirkzee was the shock inclusion in the United squad for the Europa League final. The Dutch forward has been sidelined for over a month after he suffered a hamstring injury against Newcastle and was initially ruled out for the remainder of the season. He should be fit enough for a place on the bench if required.

Matthijs de Ligt - 25 May vs Aston Villa (H)

De Ligt did not take part in the final training session on Tuesday and is not expected to be involved against Tottenham. The Dutchman was spotted doing individual fitness work with a first-team coach and it makes no sense to rush him back into action. He has missed the last three matches across all competitions but could be back this weekend, or for the post-season tour of Asia.
