Leeds United are weighing up a free transfer swoop for out-of-contract Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson, sources have told Football Insider.
Wilson, 33, is set to walk away from St James’ Park at the end of his deal next month.
It is believed Leeds feel a swoop for the veteran could be smart business as they prepare for a return to the Premier League next term.
Football Insider revealed last month (21 April) that Leeds are targeting Premier League experience – which is currently at a premium in Daniel Farke’s squad.

The Yorkshire giants have set their sights on making 10 signings as they bid to secure their place in the top flight.
Wilson could be part of that overhaul with Football Insider revealing (6 May) that Leeds will not build their attack around Championship top scorer Joel Piroe in the Premier League.
