Gators land star transfer guard from Arkansas

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The “Gator Boys” are staying hot in the transfer portal. Arkansas’ star guard Boogie Fland pulled his name out of NBA Draft consideration and will transfer to Florida.

The news was first reported by ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania.

Fland was seen as a shoo-in for the SEC All-Freshman Team before he injured his hand against Florida. He did return during the NCAA Tournament, helping power John Calipari’s Razorbacks to the Sweet 16.

Fland and Princeton transfer Xaivian Lee will help comprise a revamped backcourt for the defending champs, who graduated senior guards Walter Clayton Jr., Will Richard, and Alijah Martin.

The team returns perhaps the best and most experienced front court in the country, and Gator fans are still waiting to find out whether Alex Condon will come back for his junior year to solidify that group even further.
