Everton fans are slowly learning the fate of some of their players ahead of the summer.
David Moyes has been working hard to sort out the future of Everton’s out-of-contract stars on Merseyside.
The Toffees have just one final game to play in the 2024/25 campaign before the players can jet off and enjoy their summers.
Ashley Young, Asmir Begovic and Joao Virginia will leave Everton at the end of the season and there will be more to follow.
But the club will be keen to keep some of the players around as it will reduce the extent of the work needing to be done over the summer.
Angus Kinnear expects a busy transfer window but Everton can do themselves some favours by keeping players who are already at the club.
And Tuesday may have saw seen encouragement over the future of Carlos Alcaraz.

Abdoulaye Doucoure set to leave Everton
For weeks, Abdoulaye Doucoure has shared his desire to remain at Everton beyond the summer and play at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
However, that is not to be as the Mali midfielder’s future was confirmed away from Merseyside on Tuesday.
This will, however, be good news for Alcaraz who has been battling away with Doucoure for his spot in the starting XI.
Everton have the option to buy Alcaraz for £15m in their deal with Flamengo which saw him join on loan earlier in the year.
The Toffees now have a burning desire to sign a new attacking midfielder following Doucoure’s future being confirmed away from the club.
This could well play into the hands of the Argentine with Alcaraz really impressing Owen Hargreaves of late in his recent run in the team.
Adding Alcaraz would prove a smart move by the Friedkins considering he is someone who is now familiar with the club and would not take any bedding-in time over the summer.
Everton fans love Alcaraz following his early showings on Merseyside and adding him would surely be something a lot of them would love to see.
Everton secure 13th spot in Premier League
The results on Tuesday night confirmed Everton would finish 13th in the Premier League no matter what the results are over the weekend.
Therefore, Everton’s prize money for their league campaign has already been set.
It is suggested Everton will earn just under £25m from finishing 13th in the Premier League, which would more than cover Alcaraz’s signing fee.
Moyes has enjoyed watching Alcaraz in action recently, with the Scot speaking much more positively of him.
Surely he is a player who they look to keep this summer.
