According to a claim in the Turkish media, Nottingham Forest have stepped up their pursuit for Galatasaray attacker Baris Alper Yilmaz.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League side since he impressed during last summer’s Euros. He caught the attention of multiple Premier League clubs and has justified that interest with his performances this season.
Sabah report on the latest developments regarding Yilmaz, who could leave Galatasaray in the summer despite agreeing to a new deal recently.
It’s claimed Nottingham Forest have come in with a €20m offer for the winger as they look to improve their squad ahead of next season.
However, it’s reported Forest’s offer has been rejected by the recently crowned Super Lig champions, and they will need to come back with an improved bid.
Fellow Premier League side West Ham United are also said to be still interested in Yilmaz following their attempts to sign him during the last transfer window.
Yilmaz has made 29 league appearances for Gala this season, scoring 11 goals. He’s contracted to the Super Lig leaders until June 2027, but it seems Cimbom could look to cash in on him this summer.
Turkish reports have put the asking price at €30-35m.
