Brighton ‘hope to strike soon’ for transfer – Revived from summer, player refusing to deny

Brighton and Hove Albion ‘hope to strike soon’ when it comes to PSV Eindhoven defender Oliver Boscagli, who is set to be a free agent this summer.

That’s [according to Eindhovens Dagblad](https://www.ed.nl/psv/boscagli-wil-vanuit-psv-naar-topcompetitie-en-brighton-hoopt-snel-toe-te-slaan~afdce231/?referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.nl%2F), who report that Boscagli wants to move to a ‘major competition’ and Brighton are ready to offer him the opportunity.

The newspaper states that ‘generally reliable’ sources around the defender reports that he wants to play in England, Germany, France or Spain. Clubs from other countries have approached the PSV defender but that is a ‘hopeless affair’.

Instead, Brighton appear to have a good chance of securing his signature. Those sources around the player are refusing to contradict reports of interest from the Seagulls either. His management, though, insist that a definitive choice has not been made yet. English media have claimed otherwise.

Boscagli had parked any transfer stories to one side after clubs tried to move for him in the January transfer window.

Brighton’s interest is longstanding after they tried to sign him last summer but found themselves blocked by PSV. Boscagli has been vocal about his disappointment over that since and continually kept the idea of a move to Brighton burning on a low heat.

Now, at least as far as ED are concerned, the Seagulls are ready to move and give him his move to a top five league.
