Bologna star monitored by Manchester United

Manchester United will wrap up their Premier League campaign against Aston Villa at Old Trafford, a fixture that could have implications for the visitors.

With Champions League places almost secured for some, United will be looking to end the season with a win, while Unai Emery’s side will be desperate to fend off competition for a top-five finish.

The Red Devils have already begun planning for the transfer window, with several targets being monitored across Europe.

Ruben Amorim is expected to oversee a major squad rebuild this summer, with changes expected in wide positions and attacking roles.

Now, one of Serie A’s most explosive young wingers has emerged as a surprise target.

Manchester United are reportedly in the running for Bologna star Dan Ndoye, according to Tuttosport.

Juventus are reportedly also in the race for his signature.

The Swiss international has become one of the hottest names in Italian football after netting the winning goal in the Coppa Italia Final against AC Milan last week.

That goal not only secured silverware for Bologna but also significantly increased Ndoye’s visibility across Europe.

Dan Ndoye only joined the Serie A side from FC Basel last year in a deal worth €9 million plus €2 million in add-ons, but his value has skyrocketed since then.

Bologna have now slapped a €40 million (£34 million) price tag on the 23-year-old, with negotiations over a contract extension currently on hold.

His current deal runs until 2027, with an option to extend to 2028, giving Bologna the upper hand in any potential negotiations.

Juventus’ interest could intensify if Antonio Conte returns to Turin, as Napoli had previously tabled a €25 million bid for Ndoye under his direction in January.

The player’s agent, Fahd Adamson Mansoor, recently confirmed the growing interest in his client: “Many clubs want him… we receive requests from Europe every day.”

While United’s focus remains on offloading fringe players and trimming the wage bill, Ndoye’s dynamism and versatility on the wing could be exactly what Amorim wants in his new-look side.

The Red Devils will likely face a battle for his signature, but with Bologna expected to cash in before 30 June, a quick move may be necessary.
