Liverpool are set for a busy summer transfer window, with the rumour mill going into overdrive as the Premier League season reaches its climax.
Jeremie Frimpong is set to join Liverpool, with the Bayer Leverkusen star already reportedly having his release clause met by the Reds.
This comes after Trent Alexander-Arnold announced his decision to leave in order to experience pastures new, with his most likely destination being Real Madrid.
Although replacing the Englishman is a top priority for Arne Slot, the Dutchman is also considering other areas where his squad could be bolstered.

Hence, it’s not much of a surprise to see Bournemouth’s breakout star Milos Kerkez being linked with a move to Anfield.
And, even though a transfer to Liverpool makes a lot of sense for the Hungary international, this hasn’t stopped other Premier League teams from also throwing their hat into the ring.
Manchester City make Milos Kerkez enquiry after Liverpool interest
As per a report from the i, Pep Guardiola’s team are seen as ‘genuine rivals’ for the left-back’s signature.
The report goes on to say that while Kerkez is interested in a move to Liverpool, the Reds are yet to table an official bid for the defender.

This means that the door has been left ‘open’ for the Cityzens, who are ‘in the market’ for a specialist left-back to provide Guardiola with more options for his defensive line.
Finally, the report adds that the Cherries want a fee in the region of £45 million for the 21-year-old if a move is to be sanctioned.
While Real Madrid are no longer interested in Kerkez, the emergence of Manchester City as rivals for the full-back’s signature means Liverpool must act quickly.

Liverpool must throw everything at Milos Kerkez in the summer
If the 2024-25 Premier League season has shown Liverpool fans anything, it’s that they need an Andy Robertson successor as soon as possible.
Granted, the Scotsman has performed to a solid standard once in a while this term, but the fact that Kostas Tsimikas has played in 18 Premier League games this season shows that Slot isn’t completely happy with the former Hull City man.

The addition of Kerkez to Liverpool’s first-team squad would give them one of the strongest back fours in the division, with the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, and Frimpong being among the best defenders in the league.
Of course, only time will tell what the future has in store for Slot and his men, but if they manage to beat Manchester City to the signing of Kerkez in the summer, it would show they really mean business.
